Like hearing over and over in my head Tom waits singing a cover version of the Jim Steinman song, “A Total eclipse of The Heart”. I’m pretty sure I’ve never and probably won’t hear that in real life.
My mind does weird things without my asking it to.

So I fishished reading this Sunday morning:
_Greener Than You Think_ by Ward Moore. 1947, now in the public domain.
Project Gutenberg versions

Handy Librivox audio versions here:

A rollicking science fiction novel about mutated Bermuda grass that slowly keeps growing and can’t be destroyed.
Sunday evening, I heard this story on WLRH about Buffalo Grass, though not indestructible like the mutated Bermuda grass in the novel, it catches on fire way too easily.
“Invasion of the Invasives”

Spooky coincidence.

Escape Pod is one of my favorite audio subscriptions. It has really good science fiction stories (I like their sister site psuedopod a lot, too).
This is probably my favorite of all the ones I’ve heard so far.
“Friction” by Will McIntosh and read by Stephen Eley
